Joyce Hamilton, 81, passed away on May 17, 2025. She was born on October 28, 1943, to Lonnie and Florence Taylor Barham in Laird Hill, TX. Joyce was a member of the Eagle Mills Baptist Church. She sang in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher. She took pride in making sure all her kids made it to church from her own kids and the ones she taught. She loved to study the word of God and to listen to Christian music. Joyce loved to cook and bake and always made sure everyone was fed that came to her house. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, and doing arts and crafts. She loved animals, especially her dog, Wendy. Her greatest joy and love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Johnny Ray Barham, Jimmy Dale Barham, and Jerry Wayne Barham. She is survived by her husband of over sixty years,  Johnny Hamilton of Camden, AR; two sons, Stacy Hamilton of Camden, AR and Tim Hamilton and his wife, Kim of Farmersville, TX; four grandchildren, Kathleen Hamilton, Skye Hamilton and her husband, Sylvester; Ashley Paull and her husband, Josh, and Hailey Hamilton and her fiancé, Luis; five great-grandchildren, Bentley, Harley, Evie, Annie, and Carlos; two sisters, Jo Hamilton and Pat Alexander and her husband, Clay; brother, Lonnie Barham and his wife, Ginny; two sisters-in-law, Linda Hodnett and Carolyn Barham; and her beloved dog, Wendy; and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Eagle Mills Baptist Church on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 10:00AM with interment to Missouri Cemetery in Chidester, AR.  There will be a visitation at Proctor Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00PM-8:00PM. Proctor Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.
