Jonathan Mark Starr, age 50, of Locust Bayou, AR was born April 3, 1972 and died Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Starr, and stepson, Jake Crawford.

Mark lived in Calhoun County his whole life. He always wore a smile and loved to crack jokes. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping, boating, and was good at cooking for everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Starr; mother, Wynona Dunn Steelman; sons, Blaine Starr, and wife Sarah, Justin Starr, and spouse Zachary Leach; daughter, Jami Lucas, and husband Boone; grandchildren, Gracey and McKaylah Crawford, Triton, Shiloh, and Willow Starr, Kate, Jax, and Kyleigh Lucas; brother, Ronnie Starr, and wife Rebecca; Stepsisters, Shelley Gaston, and Deborah Hornady; Stepbrother, David Rice; nieces, Jordan Holder, Katie Starr, and Sara Evans; nephews, Brett Starr, Derek Lemons, and Jarod Evans; and his beloved dog, Sally. Along with so many good friends and family. A special thanks to everyone that supported his journey.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church in East Camden, AR with burial in Furr Cemetery in Locust Bayou. Brother Don Phillips will officiate. Visitation will be at 1:00pm, Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Starr, Greg Starr, Brett Starr, Elmer Starr, JR Starr, Bryan Dunn, and Michael Proffitt.
