The "Dash-mark" of Johnnie Marie's Life

Johnnie Marie Yarbrough, 74, born and raised in Chidester AR. On March 8th, 1951, God blessed Johnny and Ester Yarbrough with their first and only child, Johnnie Marie. Marie's parents preceded her in death/father, Johnny died December 1, 1981, and mother, Ester Marie died October 21, 1996. Her father is buried at Union Grove cemetery in Bluff City, AR. And her mom is buried at White Church Cemetery in Bluff City, AR., Nevada County. Marie departed for eternity on her birthday March 8th, 2025.

Marie grew up in Chidester, AR and attended Pleasant Hill Elementary/High School graduating from the class of 1969 (the last year the school existed before consolidation). During her high school years, she worked in the school cafeteria to help and assist serving the elementary students. Marie was a caregiver for many years. Marie carried a lot of hospitality for people, a collection of albums for pictures she enjoyed taking of herself and others, having fashionable jewelry, and a wide collection of devotionals, books, church hats, and purses.

Marie accepted Christ early in her life and lived a devoted Christian life serving the Lord. Marie was a sweet soul. A very happy person. She was bit of a private person that stayed to herself often. However, she expressed love, kindness, and joy in helping others. To explain who Marie was, she was a very humble, gracious, loving person, always going out the way for many people. Marie was always thoughtful in her giving and always encouraged others with a kind word. Marie had a light in her that shined ever so brightly that even strangers felt God's anointing on her. Marie enjoyed photography and reading and was very fashionable in accessorizing her wardrobe. She was a devoted Christian honoring and serving the Lord through her acts of service by doing the will of the God. Marie was a woman after God's own heart, nurturing her everlasting relationship with the Lord. By earnestly acknowledging, seeking, and receiving his love daily, allowed her love to abound more in knowing he is and who she was. Even though Marie is no longer with us, she leaves a legacy of love for mankind. Her survivors include many cousins, friends, clients, and her fur-babies.
