Mother Johnette Modica Dismuke was born January 9, 1934, in Smackover, AR. She was the daughter of the late Eddie Lee Modica and Sarah Modica.

Mother, Johnette finished her course on March 23, 2025, at the Camden Medical Center in Camden Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Lee Modica and Sarah Modica, her husband Grant Lee Dismuke Sr. one son Johnny Ray Dismuke; six brothers, Robert Modica, W L Modica, Eddie Lee Modica Jr, Warner Modica, and Joe Modica; and two sisters, Cassie Modica Lee, and Ruble Nell Modica Edmond.

She was born and spent her young years in Smackover Arkansas. She attended Sweet Home Baptist Church until she Married and moved to Dallas Texas. She became a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church Dallas Texas and was their until she moved to Arkansas where she attended Victory Church in Camden Arkansas.

Johnette lived a full 91 wonderful years on this earth. She was a working mother that helped her husband provide, love and care for her family. She was an entrepreneur with a commercial and residential cleaning service. She managed several apartment facilities for over 35 years. She was a dedicated Apartment Manager, loved by all and known by many, Johnette was a mother that loved her family with a special place in her heart for her grandchildren.

One of her favorite things to do was cooking, she was one of the best and would feed everyone she could no matter what time of day or night. Cooking was a distinguishing quality she received from her mother Sarah.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, six children, Grant Lee Dismuke Jr., (Rachel) California, Jimmie Grant Dismuke (Faye) Arkansas., Johnetta Dismuke Green, Texas., Betty Jean Dismuke Green (Billy Rae), Manual Dismuke (Patricia), Seattle and Demetric Dismuke, Texas; four sisters, Vada Mae Mays, Texas, Mary Ann Alexander, California, Sarah Harris, and Frances Mayweather, both of Arkansas; and three brothers, Jerri Lee Modica Texas, James Modica and Thomas Modica, both of Arkansas.

She has 21 grandchildren, over 36 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren, 1 great, great, great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews to cherish her memories.

Funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday, April 05, 2025 at Victory Church in Camden.  Visitation will be Friday, April 04, 2025 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
