Jimmie D. Franklin, 71, of Louann passed from this life into His eternal life on May 13, 2022. He was born October 15, 1950 in Dermott, AR to Benny and Louise Shannon Franklin.

He was an auto mechanic who loved restoring old vehicles.   He was faithful to help his mother-in-law with her flower beds. He loved camping with his family and traveling, especially on his motorcycle.   He was always there to lend a helping hand to people in need. He loved worshipping His Lord and Savior with his Christian Brothers and Sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Louise; his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Mary Wilkins; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Wilkins Sweatman and Bobbi Wilkins Adams.

He is survived by his loving, faithful wife of 48 years Debbie Wilkins Franklin; two faithful sons and daughters-in-law who were faithful to care for their dad, Jon and Courtney (Babe) Franklin and Chris and Melissa Franklin, all of Louann; grandchildren, Jon Franklin, Jr. of California, Madison (Hey Good Looking) Franklin and Baylee (Sunshine) Franklin of Louann, Kayla Henry Curtis (Chris) of Louann, Steven Henry Jr. (Kristin) of Camden, and eight great grandchildren; a brother, Tony Franklin (Karla) of Fort Smith, AR and a sister, Delorse Franklin Raush (Rickey) of El Dorado, AR along with a host of nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Kindred Hospice, Jennifer Butts, Rosalyn Randle, Barbara Henderson and Brent Mixon for their dedication to care for Jim and to the needs of Debbie. A special note of love gratitude is extended to Courtney Franklin and Michelle Adams for being his 24 hour nurses his last few days.

The family will receive friends at Proctor Funeral Home 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Services will be 10:00 Thursday at Proctor Funeral Home followed by interment at Liberty Cemetery, Louann, AR. Bro. Tommy Adams and Bro. Charles Hutcheson will officiate the service.   Pallbearers will be Brandon Adams, Brandon Bailey, Chris Curtis, Steven Henry, Noah Adams, Brayden Adams, Brian Stuckey and Luke Adams.
