Obituary

James T. Plair affectionately known as "Jim", went to be with the lord on May 28, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born on May 13, 1950, to James Plair and Bernice Moxley Plair.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Sara Salmon and husband David; and Susan Hicks and husband Matthew; grandson, Scott Perry; granddaughter, Caitlin Perry; grandson, Derek Hicks; granddaughter, Lyndsie Hicks; grandson, Dalton Salmon and wife Sierra; three great grandchildren and his best friend, Helen Parker. He is also survived by his two sisters, Mattie Thomason, Rosalee Pillow and husband Aaron.

Jim worked at Kroger for 35 years. He loved to hunt and fish. Jim had a hobby of buying and selling old cars. He loved spending time with family and playing games. Jim enjoyed playing dominoes and corn hole. He was fond of Elvis and enjoyed listening to Elvis's albums. He liked shopping at flea markets and collecting walking sticks. Jim also liked baking and eating chocolate pies, which were his favorite.

Funeral services will be Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Proctor Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Merritt officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. Interment in Mt. Horeb Cemetery will immediately follow services.
