Obituary

Jill Bandy Merritt, 47, of Locust Bayou, AR was born on April 4, 1976 in Bossier City, LA to James Willard and Judy Bandy and passed from this life on Monday, March 25, 2024 in Locust Bayou, AR. On December 18, 2015, she married the love of her life Scott Merritt.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Scott Merritt of Locust Bayou, AR; children, Heath and Kastle Merritt of Elliott, AR and Krystal Murphy of Hampton, AR. She was Mamaw to Brooks, Livi, Hayes and Mercy May.

She is also survived by her parents, James Willard and Judy Bandy of Lake Erling, AR; brother, Brian (Teresa) Bandy of Parkers Chapel, AR; sister, Julie (Dub) Morris of Lake Erling, AR; sister-in-law, Shannon (Matt) Rhoads of Denver, CO; her mother-in-law, Judy Merritt of Camden, AR;  nieces, Katie (Rich) Murphy of Benton, AR, Shelbi Morris (John Kamm) of Gilmer, TX, April (Michael) Cartwright of El Dorado, AR, Brittany Merritt Colvin (Brandon) of Hermitage, AR and Tiffany Merritt of Magnolia, AR; nephews, Aaron (Sara) Morris of Stephens, AR and Dustin (Katie) Morris of Cabot, AR and her fur babies, Drake and Buster along with numerous great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ryatt Scout Merritt; paternal grandparents, Lester and Lucille Bandy; maternal grandparents, J.A. and Jane Richmond; brother-in-law, Bobby Merritt and her beloved fur children Boogie, Tippy, Lou and Gracie.

She loved being Mamaw to her grandbabies and loved her nieces and nephews like her own. There is a huge hole in the hearts of us she left behind who loved and knew her, but we know that she is in Heaven rocking Ryatt Scout and helping her paint beautiful sky pictures and waiting on the rest of us to get there so we can fry fish, barbeque and ride the pontoon boat.
