Obituary

JEANETTE M. DAVIES

69 Years

Hot Springs, Ark

Jeanette Montgomery Davies gallantly gave up her fight to Alzheimer's, January 27, 2024. She had been battling this tragic disease since shortly after the turn of the millennium. Jeanette was born January 7, 1955 in Newport, Arkansas, to James Blanton and Cleva Jean Montgomery. She was predeceased by her parents and brother Anthony Lee Montgomery. Jeanette is survived by her husband of 41 years, James Scott Davies of Springdale, Arkansas and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

She was a born again Christian of Baptist faith and a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church.

Jeanette attended Newport High School in Newport, Arkansas. She received her undergraduate degree from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri and a graduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Jeanette's refuge was her home on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs where she often referred to the moon reflecting off the lake as diamonds on the water. She possessed a kind soul and a loving heart, greeting everyone with her infectious smile.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorials be made to: Jeanette Davies Alzheimer's Disease Prevention, KU Endowment, PO Box 928, Lawrence, KS 66044; First Baptist Church, 348 Washington Street, Camden, AR 71701; or the charity of your choice.
