Feb 4, 1935 — Jul 3, 2024
Camden
Janet Ellene Denton Russell passed away at home on July 3, 2024, cared for and loved on by her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Janet was born on February 4, 1935, to the late Fred and Roberta Tucker Denton. She was a Godly, loving lady who believed the Bible was the word of God and lived according. She was a delight to all who knew her. Her smile just lit the room and warmed our hearts. Her relationship with Jesus was evident in all her actions.
She was a member of Kingsland First Baptist Church for 50 years where she served as the pianist for many of these years. She moved to Camden to live with her family and joined Hillside Church where she was an active member until she became ill.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 ½ years, James Lowell Russell; daughter, Debbie Russell Mills; grandson, Jeremy Russell; great-grandson, Tyson Thompson; two brothers, Wallace Denton and Duane Denton; sister, Barbara Denton Bettis.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters, Sandy Russell Russell ( Stanley) and Barbara Russell Russell; grandsons, Jason Russell (Heather), Shane Russell (Cheryl), Tim Mills, Kyle Russell, Luke Russell (Katie); granddaughter, Heather Russell; great-grands, Jared Russell (Elizabeth), Jillian Russell, Laila Mills, Beckett Mills, Mason Thompson, Kylee Russell, Belle Russell, Denton Russell, Baugher Russell, Atticus Russell and Sawyer Russell.
The family would like to thank OCMC Hospice for all the love and wonderful care they gave to Janet and the family.
