James Michael "Mike" Turner, age 76 of Camden, AR passed away Friday January 5, 2024, at his home. He was born in Arkadelphia, AR on September 19, 1947, to the late Paul Ellis and Loretta Turner. A graduate of Arkadelphia High School, he received his BA in Business Administration from Ouachita Baptist University in 1970, he was a standout track star and was in ROTC. He entered the US Army at Ft Benning as a 1st Lieutenant and served for a brief time, before fulfilling his service in the US Army reserves. Mike began working at Farm Town Equipment company, a John Deere dealership, during high school and continued to work with the company after graduating college. He then began driving daily to Camden, AR to work for TAC Equipment. In 1980 he moved his family to Camden, AR to continue his work for TAC Equipment, which was later acquired by Warrior of Arkansas, and then he ultimately retired from Stribling Equipment in August 2021 after spending an incredible 56 years with John Deere entities.

Mike was married forty-nine years to the love of his life, Sharon Turner on August 9, 1968. He lived his life for God, his family, all of his many friends, and the Razorbacks. He was a generous man always helping others by providing encouragement and lending a helping hand. He was a faithful member of Hillside Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He was also a proud member of the NRA and Duck's Unlimited.

Mike is survived by his son, Brad Turner and wife Emily of Camden, AR; three grandchildren, Noah Turner and Peyton Roy and her significant other Howard Robinson of Camden, AR, and Payton Parton and her husband Kaleb of Colchester, VT. Three great grandchildren, Juniper and Luka Parton of Colchester, VT and Christian Robinson of Camden, AR; one brother, Randy Turner and wife Glenetta of Arkadelphia, AR and one brother-in law James Ham and wife, Joyce of Arkadelphia, AR. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00PM Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Hillside Baptist Church, Camden, AR. Funeral service will be 2:00PM following the visitation. The burial will be in Richland Cemetery, Arkadelphia, AR.
