James Michael "Puff" Proffitt, 52, of Camden, AR, passed away Friday May 16, 2025. He was born July 29, 1972, in Camden, AR. He was the son of William H. and Shirley Ann Starr Proffitt. He was a graduate of Hampton High School, member of Calvary Baptist Church, owner of Cuz Processing, avid hunter, fisherman, pool player, wood working and loved big trucks. Michael "Big Daddy" was the love of Christi's life.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Reese and Hazel Proffitt and Elmer and Eula Starr, cousins, Mark Starr, Jason Starr, Keith Starr, Michael Nutt and Gerald Nutt.

He is survived by his wife, Christi Proffitt, parents, William H. and Shirley Ann Proffitt, mother-in-law, Connie Griffis, two daughters, Averi and Abbigayle Proffitt, two sons, Matthew Ault and wife, Jacey and John David Ault and wife, Crystal, one brother, DeWayne Proffitt and wife, Deborah, one sister, Tammy Allen and husband, Hoyt, grandchildren, Dallas Ault, Shayne Ault, Aleena Ault, Haydn Balance, Quinnlee Ault and Skylee Ault, little companion, Lexi Ann Proffitt, host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00PM Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church. Memorial service will follow at 2:00PM at Calvary Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church or Gideon Bibles.
