James D. Moore, 85, died August 22, 2022. He was born July 22, 1937 in Hollister, CA to Noble D. and Annie Mae Moore. James was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He worked in the grocery business for a number of years and was owner of the Piggly Wiggly store in Camden. His time there allowed him to make many friends. He was loved by those who knew him and will be missed.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by a wife, Loretta Moore; a stepson, Dewayne Crawford; a stepgrandson, Jake Crawford and a sister, Maurinda Lummus. He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann Moore of Camden, AR; a son, Jeff Moore (Milisa) of Conway, AR; a daughter, Lisa Portmann (Alan) of Camden, AR; a stepson, Trent Crawford of Hampton, AR; a stepdaughter, Stacey Murphy (Mike) of Rogers, AR; three granddaughters, Megan Fotioo (Alex) of Conway, AR, Robbie Massingill (Zach) of Moore, OK and Lacy Portmann of Camden, AR; two great granddaughters; five step granddaughters, and eleven step great grandchildren.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the funeral home. Services will be 10:00 Thursday at Calvary Baptist followed by interment at Smith Morgan Cemetery near Kingsland, AR.
