James C. "Jim" Garner, 77, of Louann, AR, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at his home. He was born March 5, 1947, in Camden, AR. He was the son of the late Crawford and Mary Elliott Garner. He was a member of the Sulphur Springs Community Church, Ouachita County Farm Bureau President, Ouachita Electric Cooperative Board, VFW, a previous member of the Ouachita County Fair Board and Ouachita County Cattleman's Association, loved to grow tomatoes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Crawford and Mary Elliott Garner; wife, Geraldine Garner; son, James Douglas Garner.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Belt and husband, Brandon of Louann, AR; grandson, Austin Belt of Louann, AR; granddaughter, Gracie Belt of Louann, AR; grandson, Scooter Atkins and wife, Lacie of Louann, AR; great-grandson, Riggs Atkins of Louann, AR; host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Proctor Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 10:00AM Monday, August 26, 2024, at Sulphur Springs Community Church. Burial will follow in Sulphur Springs Cemetery, Paul Lamkin officiating. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
