James "Phil" Griffis, 76, of Camden, AR, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024. He was born March 17, 1948, in Camden, AR. He was the son of the late Roy James and Edna Lucille Beard Griffis. He was retired from Arkansas Department of Transportation, graduate of Bearden High School and a member of Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 50 years, Mary Griffis; brother, Gene Griffis; brother-in-law, Randy Smith; niece, Jenny Johnson.

He is survived by his son, William Griffis and wife, April of Hampton, AR; daughter, Marsha Howland of Camden, AR; Honorary son, John Thomas of Camden, AR; grandchildren, Zander, Rylee, Landon, Zaeden, Kacie and Kaleb; host of family and friends.

Graveside service will be 11:00AM Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Camden, AR. Pastor Mary Jo Taylor officiating. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
