James Hudson Gillespie, Sr., 85, of Camden, AR, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024. He was born in Camden, AR on September 3, 1938. He was the son of the late Robert Charles and Evelyn Braswell Gillespie. He owned and operated Gillespie CITGO Full-Service Station and U-Haul for over 40 years, member of Cullendale First Baptist Church, Good Sams Club and avid Arkansas Razorback Fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Charles and Evelyn Braswell Gillespie; wife, Eula Mae Gillespie; brother, Steve Gillespie.

He is survived by his two sons, Jay Gillespie and wife, Jacqueline and Les Henry and wife, Gina; three daughters, Karen Willis and husband, Michael, Claudine Baker and husband, Richard and Maryann Frachiseur and husband, George; nine grandchildren, Melissa Houston, Charlie Willis, Tiffany Sullivan, Jennifer Muckelrath, Becky Whitley, Hudson Gillespie, Henry Gillespie, Caitlyn Henry and Nikki Brandon; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul and Bob Gillespie; one sister, Vicki Newton.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Proctor Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 10:00AM Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Holly Springs Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
