James Rudolph "Rudy" Allen, 92, died April 2, 2025.  He was born October 5, 1932, in Camden, AR to Bert and Gladys Allen. In addition to his parents, Rudy was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Jo Beaver Allen; two brothers, Drew Allen and Bobby Allen; a son in law, Steve Farris and a granddaughter in law, Courtney Ledbetter.

Rudy is survived by a son, David Allen (Susan); two daughters, Teresa Sanders (Don) and Patti Farris Cook (Jo); five grandchildren, Damon Ledbetter, Amy Dowden (Craig), Hope Rice (Ben), Slade Farris (Macy) and Jeffery Sanders (Daniel); nine great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Duane Beaver; and three sisters-in-law, Judy Elliott, Audrey Allen, and Kathy Robertson.

Rudy was of the Methodist faith and was a long-time member of Bell Chapel church.  He loved his friends at Red Hill and Boiling Pot communities.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing and checking his trot lines on the river.

The family will receive friends at Proctor Funeral Home 5:00-7:00 Tuesday, April 8, 2025.  Services will be 10:00 Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Proctor Funeral Home with David Collins officiating followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family expresses thanks to the nurses and staff at Ouachita County Nursing and Rehabilitation as well as Arbor Hospice for the care given to Rudy.
