Jack Russo Jr., 89, of Melbourne, FL., passed away December 20, 2024.

Jack was born April 29, 1935, in Monroe, LA., to Jack and Rose Russo. He grew up in
Camden, AR, graduating from Camden High School in 1953, where he played trumpet in
the band, halfback for the football team, and participated in track and field. He went on to
the University of Arkansas and studied business.

He married Catherine Sava in 1955 and had one child, Jeffrey Russo. Jack spent his long
career negotiating purchasing contracts for companies such as International Paper, Day &
Zimmerman, Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics.

Jack was active in the community, a practicing Catholic, and a member of the Knights of
Columbus. His love for music continued throughout his life. In addition to playing
trumpet, piano and the accordion, he taught himself guitar, playing country and bluegrass
music and attending bluegrass festivals all over the country after retirement. He also
loved to cook Italian favorites learned from his mother, Rose. Family was important to
Jack, and he enjoyed keeping in touch with close and extended family while traveling in
his motor home.

Jack was preceded in death by his former wives Catherine Sava and Colene Capley, his
parents, Jack and Rose Russo; his brother, Leonard Russo; his sister, Virginia Russo
Wolber; and his nephew, Nick Russo. He is survived by his brother, Tony Russo; sister,
Mona Russo Deaton; his son, Jeffrey Russo; his grandchildren Jason Russo, Andrea
Russo, and Denah James, along with many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A brief graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, at the
Russo Family Plot in Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden. All are welcome.
