Helen Hughes, 88, of Chidester, AR died Sunday, September 18, 2022 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Birdie Perkins Hughes, two brothers, Ray and Robert Hughes, a sister-in-law, Patsy Hughes and a niece.

She is survived by two sons, Rex Pannell (Rebecca) of Chidester, AR and Bill Pannell (Margie) of Doyline, LA, a daughter, Carolyn Moore (Gary) of El Dorado, AR, a brother, Allen Hughes of Chidester, AR, grandchildren, Michael Reynolds (Megan) of Florida, Kaitlin Butler of Doyline, LA, Cole Pannell (April) of Carthage, TX, Peyton Pannell (Star) of Stanley, LA, Melissa Snow (Norman) of El Dorado, AR, Phillip Moore of Rogers, AR, Josh Pannell (Kristy) of Conway, AR, Shannon Dorherty (Jason) of Hot Springs, AR, Cory Pannell (Sara) of Florida, Nicole Brummett (Justin) of Camden, AR, Kevin Neighbors (Michelle) of Hot Springs, AR and Nicole Sanchez (Ignacio) of Hot Springs, AR. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at her home, 6425 Hwy 24, Chidester, AR on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Proctor Funeral Home has handled arrangements.
