Obituary

Helen Loretta Ashworth Brian passed away on October 5, 2024, at the age of 94. Born on December 6, 1929, in Paris, Arkansas, Helen was the treasured daughter of Homer Ashworth and Vona Morgan Ashworth. A woman of deep moral conviction and unwavering devotion to her family, Helen built a life centered around love, faith, and resilience. She married the love of her life, Herschel Brian, and after his return from military service they raised two sons, Kelly and Todd.

Helen's work history began with Stinson's Jewelers in Camden, AR. After several years with Stinson's, she went to work for Davis Manufacturing, which later changed their name to B&R Machine, where she worked until her retirement.  After she retired, she became a volunteer at the Ouachita County Hospital gift shop.  Her favorite post-retirement job, however, was being a MeMe. Helen was a cornerstone of her family, known for her steadfast support and nurturing spirit. No matter the challenges her loved ones faced, she was always there as a source of strength and comfort, ready to lend a helping hand or offer sage advice. Her dedication to her family was matched only by her devotion to her faith. A longtime member of Cullendale First Baptist Church, she attended services regularly until her health made it difficult to continue. Even then, her faith remained a guiding light in her life.Helen's warmth, compassion, and unshakable resolve will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her.  She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and love that will live on through her surviving family, including her beloved son, William Kelly Brian and his wife Cindy and their family of Benton, AR; her cherished granddaughter Morgan Brian York and her husband, Jeremy, and their children of Bryant, AR; her brother Bobby Ashworth of Camden along with his 2 daughters, Lisa Davidson of Camden and Lori Hudson of Hampton, AR and their families; her former daughter-in-law, whom she affectionately referred to as her daughter, Jill Brian of Camden with whom she maintained a very close relationship; and her former daughter-in-law, Crystal Brian Hindman, Lane and Cohen Duncan, grandchildren, all of Fayetteville, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Isaac, her husband Herschel, and her son Michael Todd Brian.
