Obituary

Gorden Lee Larsen, age 64, passed away peacefully at his home on May 2, 2026.

Living in Louann, Arkansas, has made us a new home. For 32 years, Gorden and I built a life filled with laughter and affection. His friends at the Jolly Road Hunting Club, along with his colleagues at Evergreen North America Industrial Services, have been a great support during this deeply personal time. Gorden recently passed away, and though his presence still echoes through our home, I am determined to honor him as he would have wanted, with joy and cherished memories.

We're planning a heartfelt celebration of life, inviting close family and friends to gather and share stories that capture Gorden's spirit. Instead of a traditional service, we envision a day filled with laughter and warmth, just as he would have loved. Our plan includes creating a picture reel that captures our journey together, highlighting moments from his infectious smile to those spontaneous songs we heard him start just out of the blue in the kitchen, the car, or even his shop. Each snapshot and melody reflects the joy he brought into our lives.

Organizing this celebration and covering the cremation costs carry a financial weight that's difficult to bear alone, unfortunately we didn't prepare for. I am reaching out in the hope of honoring Gorden's life with the tribute he deserves. The love and support from everyone who knew him is truly comforting, like slipping into a favorite old camo. If you're moved to contribute, it would mean everything to me to celebrate his life in the way he cherished most, rather than flowers.

He is preceded in death by his parents George and Retta Larsen.

Gorden is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Larsen; sons, Paul Abeyta, Jr. and wife Christiene of Harmony Grove, AR; Christopher Larsen of El Dorado, AR; Joshua Larsen and wife Tasha of White Hall, AR; Duston Abeyta and wife, Kristy of Fayetteville, AR; Chad Larsen of Van Couver, WA; Cody Abeyta and wife Callie of Norphlet, AR; sisters, Georgia Osborn and husband Dean of Redding, CA; Linda Arrant and husband Doug, of Idleyld Park, OR; Brenda Gorbett and husband Clint of Crooked River Ranch, OR; Donna Newton of Canby, OR; brother, Joe Larson and wife Melissa of Toledo, OR; He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
