Glen C. Wright, 80, passed away August 17, 2023.  He was born July 5, 1943, in Minden, LA to Dennis C. and Mary Olive Wright.  He is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a radio operator.  He was an operator at Albemarle ADMA plant in Magnolia, AR. It was often said he could keep the plant running in his sleep better than others could when they were wide awake.  In his spare time, he was an avid gardener. One of his favorite sayings was "If you don't have time to do it right the first time, you won't have time to fix it later."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Benton Calaway Wright and Dennis Randolph Wright and a sister, Skottie Sue Davis.  Glen is survived by his wife of 61 years, Maudie Elaine "Babe" Wright; three daughters, Glenda Herring (Russell), Regina Frederick (Bryon) and Mary King (Koby); six grandchildren, Angela Oden (Kevin), Lauren Atkins (Jack), Rachel Neal (Daniel Shore), Luke Frederick (Heather), Maile Williams and Gray King; five great-grandchildren, Ethan Oden, Cason Oden, Maxwell Calloway Oden, Wyatt Shore, and J. R. Herring; a sister, Debbie Stiffler (Gary) and countless nieces and nephews who all loved their Uncle Bear/Uncle Glen very much.

Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Proctor Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be 10:30 Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Two Bayou Cemetery.
