Gerald "Burl" Nutt, 68, of Camden, Arkansas, went to be with our Lord and Savior Saturday, July 29, 2023. He was born on November 24, 1954, in Camden to Billy Joe Nutt and Geraldine (Starr) Nutt. Gerald graduated from Harmony Grove High School in 1973 and attended the University of Monticello to play football before entering the workforce at Ouachita Electric. He worked his way up through the organization and retired after forty-five years of service. He married the love of his life Debbie Diane Nutt of Lawson, Arkansas, on December 3, 1977. He had a passion for education and served on the Harmony Grove School Board from 1983 to 2002. His hobbies included deer hunting, fishing, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. But his most prized possessions were his kids and grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Billy Joe Nutt, and brother, Miachel Joe Nutt.  Survivors include his wife Debbie Nutt of Camden, son Michael Nutt (Kelsey) of Rogers, son Brian Nutt (Rachel) of Bentonville, and six grandchildren; Deacon Nutt, Ezra Nutt, Lily Nutt, Holland Nutt, Eva Nutt, and Stella Nutt; mother, Geraldine Nutt of Camden; brother Bobby Nutt (Candice) of Camden; nephews, Matthew Nutt (Kristi) and Austin Nutt (Kristen) both of Camden; and niece, Kaley Meeks of Camden, along with countless other family members.

Visitation will be Wednesday August 2nd from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Proctor Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be 10 AM on Thursday, August 3rd at Calvary Baptist Church with Brother Don Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Calvary Baptist Church.
