George Harris Vaughn was born on April 5, 1940, in Camden, Arkansas to Muriel Robinson and Luther Vaughn.  He accepted Christ at an early age.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.  He departed this world on September 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, and unforgettable memories.

He was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1958, and found joy in visiting with classmates.

George was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cherished friend.  He enjoyed working in his yard and was an avid sports enthusiast (NFL-SF 49ers and MLB-SF Giants).

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Bernard Vaughn and Frederick Vaughn.

He is survived by his wife Ruby Vaughn; son, Darron Vaughn (Sonjia Bell-Vaughn); daughter, Sonya Vaughn; two granddaughters,  Mallorri Hermanson and Latricia Vaughn; three great grandchildren; Jazlyn, Maya, and Antonio Williams; four siblings; Doris Porchia, Luther Vaughn, Donald Vaughn and Ronald Vaughn; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

George will be missed tremendously by his family, friends and all who knew him.
