George Raymond Lamkin, 86, died March 18, 2025.  He was born February 18, 1939, in Chidester, AR to George and Ila Lamkin.  George was a member of Sandy Land Missionary Baptist Church.  He especially enjoyed spending time working in his wood shop.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Lamkin and a sister, Glenda Pepper.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Frances Lamkin; a son, Fred Lamkin (Nelia); a son, Ron Lamkin, a daughter, Barbara Carwile (Joe), a daughter, Sharon Lamkin; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 Friday, March 21, 2025, at Proctor Funeral Home.  Services will be 10:00 Saturday at Proctor Chapel followed by interment at bell Chapel Cemetery.
