Evelyn
Trumbo
Mar 23, 1939 — Jul 16, 2023
Evelyn Trumbo went home to be with the Lord on July 16th, 2023. Born March 23rd, 1939 in Camden, Arkansas to Greer and Julia Daniel she was one of six children. Senior class president, homecoming queen, six year cheerleader and valedictorian, she did it all.
Introduced to the love of her life, Robert H. Trumbo, Sr. by her Sunday school teacher and his mother, Alice Trumbo, they went on to be happily married for fifty years. Together they ran the Marshall IGA, enjoyed a lot of tennis and vacationing at many happy places.
A devoted Christian, she faithfully served in many capacities in her churches, Front Royal Bible Church and Grace Bible Church in Marshall, but her favorite duty was always the nursery. Having a true servant's heart she was always ready to stop whatever she was doing in order to help anyone in need.
As much as she loved children her own were always the top priority, especially her grandchildren on whom she doted excessively.
Predeceased by her husband, her parents and her brother, Bud, she is survived by her son, Robert Holder Trumbo, Jr. and his wife, Heather and their children, Julia, Tommy and Alan. She is also survived by her sisters, Judy Bailey and Susan Fox and her brothers, Ted and Jay Daniel.
We are grateful to the many folks who helped her these last several years, especially the loving family at the Blue Ridge Christian Home in Bealeton.
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
