Etheleen Moore Garrison, 92, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. Born on March 18, 1932, in Michie, Tennessee, Etheleen was the cherished daughter of Ethel (Bird) Moore and Felix Madison Moore. She is preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.

Etheleen graduated with a nursing degree from the Jefferson Hillman Hospital/University of Alabama in Birmingham, launching a lifelong commitment to caring for others. That same year, she met the love of her life, Vernon, on a blind date to attend a Wednesday night church service. Shortly thereafter, they married in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Their partnership flourished over 54 years predominately in Camden, Arkansas, where they raised their family and served their community.

Etheleen greatest joys were her faith in God, serving others, and loving her family. She is survived by her children, Vickie Garrison Smith (Garth), David Garrison (Sonia), and Linda Garrison-Kane (Tom), and was predeceased by her beloved son, Jeffery Garrison. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren: Garin Smith, Ben Smith, Alec Smith (Megan), Jeremiah Garrison (Elizabeth), Seneca Garrison, Amanda Garrison, Marcus Garrison, Thomas Kane; and great grandchildren Peyton and Maya.

Etheleen will be remembered for her strength, unwavering faith, a life dedicated to serving others and her active involvement in the First Baptist Church in Camden. Her warmth and kindness touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on her family, friends, and community.

The entire Garrison, Smith and Kane families express their heartfelt appreciation to the administration and nursing staff at the Manor at Elfindale in Springfield MO and the nursing staff at St. Croix Hospice for their loving care and support.

A celebration of Etheleen's life will be held at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, Arkansas, on Saturday, January 25, 2025 with Visitation at 1:00 and funeral service immediately following at 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Gary Harrison. Gravesite services will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Camden Ar.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Camden Crisis Center, Ruby Snider Food Pantry in Camden AR, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, honoring Etheleen's lifelong commitment to serving others in need.
