Eric Scott "Big Country or Teddy Bear" was born on September 27, 1972, in Camden, Arkansas to the late William Scott and Mary Polk.

Eric was a graduate of Camden High School, Class of 1990. After high school he went to Job Corp in Oklahoma and there he received a certificate in Printing. He worked for Petit Jean and Scroll Technologies in Gum Springs, Arkansas.

He is survived by one daughter, Jayla Scott with the late Latarsha Lacy.

Eric spent most of his time watching movies and sports. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Lakers.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Scott.

Eric leaves to cherish his memories; his loving daughter, Jayla Scott; his mother, Mary Scott; his siblings, Kristi (Ronald) Hayman of Little Rock, AR, Gregory Scott of Dallas, TX, Franceane Scott of Arkadelphia, AR, and La Sandra Scott of Arkadelphia, AR; Uncles, Robert Scott of Camden, AR, James Scott of Camden, AR, Raymond Scott of Stephens, AR, Tommy Wayne (Priscilla) Scott of Pine Bluff, AR, and Otis Scott of Rockford, Illinois; Aunts, Eddye Brown of Rockford, Illinois, Joyce Ann Randle of Camden, AR, and Denise (Ricky) Anderson of Camden, AR; one great-nephew as well a host of nieces, great-nieces, and cousins.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 1:00pm at Proctor Funeral Home.
