Emmett LeRoy "Lee" Helms, Jr age 70 of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Camden, AR passed away in San  Antonio at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family on May 8, 2024.

Lee was born October 21,1953 in Oceanside, CA to Roy and Jerri Helms. Lee was a 1973 graduate of     Camden High School in Camden, AR. He joined the USMC right after graduation and was a proud US Marine.  He served during the Vietnam War Era.  He worked for General Dynamics for many years in Camden, drove a truck while living in south Louisiana and worked in sales at Sears, until his health brought him back home to live in Camden. Lee lived with his mom and took care of her during her final years with us.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ocie Bryant Christie, parents, Jerri and Roy Helms, and his brothers, Jim and Gary Helms.

He is survived by his 3 children, Christina (Matt) Kocher of East Greenville, PA, Anthony (Kendall) Helms of The Woodlands, TX, and Kimberly (Tommy)Williams of San Antonio, TX. Nine grandchildren, Celia Kocher, Tori DelVecchio, Madelyn and Charlee Kocher, Bryce and Tyler Helms, Bex, Katelynn and Anna Williams. Sister Vicki Betts and sister-in-law Sharon Helms of Camden, AR. Nephews, Billy (Amy) Betts of Keller, TX, Chris (Donnie) Betts, Brad (Stephanie) Betts, Scott (Chelsea) Betts and niece Bethany (Keaton) Shelton all of Camden, AR.  Also several great nieces and nephew.

Lee loved his children beyond measure and was truly happy to move in with his daughter Kim and family. He will be greatly missed.

Per Lee's wishes, he will be cremated by aCremation of San Antonio and his final resting place will be in  Camden, AR
