Elsie Mae Steelman age 72 of Camden passed away August 21, 2023 at Ouachita County Medical Center.

Elsie is survived by her brother, Richard Dean Steelman (Shirley); two sisters, Judy Ann Martin (Charlie) and Dixie Lee Pennington (Wayne); two sisters-in-law, Dot Steelman and Jill Steelman; a host of nieces and nephews and two very much loved dogs, Princess and Sugar Baby; and a host of friends she loved very dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemon Dean Steelman and Hollie Mae Nalls Steelman; her infant sister, Ruby Lee Steelman; her two older brothers, Franklin Eugene Steelman and Gary Samuel Steelman.

Elsie was born on December 24, 1950 in Camden, AR to Lemon Dean and Hollie Mae Nalls Steelman.  She graduated from Camden High School in 1969.  She had many jobs in her life and retired from Esterline where she was lead facilities associate.  She loved that job and the people she worked with.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Proctor Funeral Home from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.  Graveside services will be Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery in Camden, AR.
