Eddie Jo Stanberry, 93, of Camden, AR, passed away Friday, September 1, 2023, at Ouachita County Medical Center. She was born in Point, TX on October 8, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Sybil Mirah Horton Waymire. She was a member of Victory Church, a member of the Camden Garden Club and a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Volney Reed Stanberry, Jr.; son, Volney Reed Stanberry, III; 2 sisters, Fairy Dale Douthitt and Venita Lou Capps; 2 brothers, Willard Waymire and Buck Waymire.

She is survived by 5 daughters, Sheila Ann Hodges and husband, Charles of Camden, AR, Janet Gail Beaver and husband, Sam of Camden, AR, Venita Marie Hofmann of Conroe, TX, Tamie Jo Ray and husband Casey of Sunland, CA, Traci Lee Nelson and husband John of Conroe, TX;  foster daughters, Staci Portor of Little Rock, AR and Serena Dodds and husband David; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Proctor Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 1:00PM Friday, September 8, 2023, at Holleman Cemetery, Chidester, AR. The burial will follow in Holleman Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
