Eddie Joe Knight, 85, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2022 in his home in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was born in Ashdown, AR on July 14, 1937 to Jack Knight and Peggy Ann Holmes, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his brother and dear friend, Tommy Knight.

With countless nieces and nephews, he was known to all as "Uncle Eddie" and always had a joke at the ready. He enjoyed retirement after a long career in mechanics by tinkering in his shop. Despite his frequent grumblings at "things not being made like they used to," it is widely believed he enjoyed the challenge of repairing a broken motor over one that ran fine without his help. He took his family motto "If we can't fix it, just throw it away" to heart and all that knew him will miss his problem-solving repair skills.

Eddie loved to play BINGO, especially with his friend, Cathie Bugh. They could often be found playing at the American Legion. Likewise, he enjoyed spending time with his niece Amanda Young, whether it was sharing early morning coffee to woodworking projects to dissembling car engines. Eddie often accompanied Lisa and Tommy Knight Jr. to have a good time or make trouble, usually a bit of both. Never one to pass up a good deal, he loved yard sales and antiques, and got into more than a few high stakes negotiations with Jeff and Roberta.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindra Spencer; his stepdaughter, April Meyer; his older brother, Jack Knight Jr.; his younger brother, Bob Knight; his nephew, Tommy Knight Jr. and his wife, Lisa; his nephew Jeff Knight and his fiancé, Roberta McCollum Mason; his great-nieces Amanda Young and Amber Faglier; his great-nephew James Knight and his wife, Heather; numerous grandchildren, a great-grandson, dear friends, and a fantastic wealth of additional nieces and nephews.
