Douglas Hodge passed away 12/10/2024 from Alzheimer's surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Doug made his journey to Heaven wearing his favorite Trump shirt and Trump hat. He was born on September 18, 1944 to Floyd Hodge And Verna Vaughan. His stepfather, Coby Vaughan, also played an important role in his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Verna, step father Coby, also his brother Connie Hodge, and sisters, Valeria Ketchum, Marie Robertson, Shirley Ed Hodge, and his best friend and brother in law, Gene Linker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jenny Hodge, his daughters, Christy Hodge Baker and Candyce Dumas, sister Carol Pharr, and step brother Mike Vaughan. He is also survived by the apples of his eye, grandsons, Justin Baker, Joseph Baker (Samantha), William Dumas, Austin Dumas, Noah Dumas, and his great grandchildren, Asher Baker, Kamara Baker, Sophie Baker, and his 4 legged baby, Sunny. Doug also left behind many nieces and nephews.

Douglas was a graduate of Stephens High school in 1962. He was an electrician by trade and retired from Albamarle Chemical as a shift team leader and where he was the 9th person hired. After retirement, Doug and Jenny moved to Mayer, AZ in 2000 where they enjoyed traveling, and after diagnosis with Alzheimer's, Doug enjoyed his "piddling" and collecting tools.

Hospice Services were provided by Arizona Life Hospice, to whom we owe many thanks and love. Doug thought Kermit, hospice Chaplin, and hospice nurse Kelly, were the smartest people he had ever encountered.

Cremation Services were provided by Advanced Cremation Care of Prescott. We owe many thanks to Ethan, funeral Director, and Kelsey, hospice nurse, for their humor and love shown to the family at such a devastating time. Memorial Services will be held March 22, 2025, 11:00 am at Riddick Cemetery in Troy Arkansas, officiating will be Sandy Carter.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Adam's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Chidester, Arkansas.
