Dorothy Tackett, 101, of Camden, AR passed away on November 16, 2024. She was born on January 31, 1923 in Nevada County, AR to Hooper Denman and Bertie Huey Milam. Dorothy was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking, fishing, playing dominoes, and watching Wheel of Fortune. She loved going to the Milam family reunions. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, which she loved very much.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Hooper Denman and Bertie Huey Milam; her husband, Rev. Frank Tackett; three brothers; and five sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen Parker of Louann, AR; two granddaughters, Sara Salmon and her husband, David of Conway, AR and Susan Hicks and her husband, Matthew of Van Buren, AR; five great-grandchildren, Scott Perry of Lake Charles, LA, Caitlin Perry of Fort Smith, AR, Derek Hicks of Meridian, MS, Lyndsie Hicks of Fort Smith, AR, and Dalton Salmon and his wife, Sierra of East Camden, AR; and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Proctor Chapel on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 10:00AM, with a visitation from 9:00AM-10:00AM before the service. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
