Obituary

Dorothy (Dot) Reese, 94, of Camden, AR, died July 31, 2022 at her home. She was born August 17, 1927 in Emerson, AR. She was the daughter of the late Rueben and Goldie Lillian Benefield Pharr. She was a retired secretary with Woodlands Division, International Paper Company after 28 years of service. She was a faithful member of Maul Road Church of Christ. She was a volunteer for Ouachita County Medical Center Auxiliary. She joined the auxiliary in 1986 and was faithful and willing worker having worked in many areas of the auxiliary. She enjoyed helping others through her work with the hospital auxiliary. She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and worked on the Ouachita County Medical Center Relay For Life Team.

She loved flowers, enjoyed cooking, a remarkable seamstress and enjoyed making country curtains and accessories, loved to travel, gardening, yard work, camping, fishing and deer hunting with her husband, Davy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 55 years Davy Reese; two sisters, Sallie Bowman and Ruby Black; six brothers, Gerald, Clifton, Don, Caston, Billy and Jerry Pharr.

She is survived by several nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, great-great nephews and great-great nieces; sitters, Pam Howard, Frances Welch and Sandra Cannedy; many friends.

Visitation will be 2:00-3:00PM Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Proctor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 3:00PM Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel. Johnny Hobbie and Rod Halliburton will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
