Beloved Dorothy Adell Littrell Evans, age 96, passed away peacefully in Mansfield, Texas on August 27, 2023. She was born June 8, 1927 in Little Rock, Arkansas to William Penn Littrell and Dorothy Adell Cooley Littrell. She will be laid to rest at the Calaway family cemetery in Thornton, Arkansas.

Dorothy, also known as "Dottie Dell," graduated from Camden High School in Camden, Arkansas in 1945 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics from Henderson State University in 1949.

Dorothy met her husband, Thomas Ellis Evans, of almost 70 years while she was teaching high school and he was working as a bank teller in Bearden, Arkansas. She was an avid reader and gardener who was previously an active member of the Stephens Garden Club and Camden Garden Club. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Camden, Arkansas and was always a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.

Dorothy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who dedicated her life to the care of her family. She lived in Camden, Arkansas for most of her life before moving with her husband to Richardson, Texas to be near family. On December 13, 2023 Dorothy and her husband Ellis would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Thomas Ellis Evans, daughter Colleen and her husband Tarek Mansour of New City, NY, her sons' Brian and his wife Karen of Mansfield, TX and Gerald and his wife Rhonda of Richardson, TX; nine grandchildren: Chrissy Evans, Ian Evans, Ashley Guardiola, Hannah Evans, Christian Evans, Bayan Mansour, Rayah Mansour, Alex Tabary and Jessica Tabary; and seven greatgrandchildren: Clark, Eva, Ruth, Emmett, Harper, Leo and Sadie.

A celebration of life will be held at Calaway Cemetery at 10AM on Saturday, September 2, 2023.
