Doris Sharon Lemons, 82 of Locust Bayou passed away peacefully at her home on October 22, 2024. She was born January 30, 1942, in Harmony Grove to Walter and Mabel Givens Sharp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Lemons, sons William Lemons and Joey Lemons, beloved grandson Jake Crawford, and son in law Mark Starr. Also proceeded by her siblings, Sonny Boy Sharp, Ralph (Tuffy) Sharp, Daisy Fair and Ruthie Proffitt.

Sharon is survived by her daughters Sherry Starr of Locust Bayou, Debbie Evans of Little Rock, her grandchildren, Jami Lucas and husband, Boone (Junction City), Jordan Holder and husband, Jacob (Harmony Grove), Derek Lemons (Locust Bayou), Jarod Evans and Sara Evans (Little Rock). Her greatgrandchildren, Gracey Crawford and Mckaylah Crawford (Locust Bayou), Kate Lucas, Jax Lucas and Kyleigh Lucas (Junction City), Annabelle Holder, Brookelynn Holder and Natalie Holder (Harmony Grove); and step-grandchildren, Blaine and Justin Starr. She is survived by her siblings, Marion Brandmier (Los Angeles), Buddy Sharp (Harmony Grove), Jody Sharp (Harmony Grove), Mary Ann Tuberville (Locust Bayou), and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a 1960 graduate of Harmony Grove High School. She was employed for most of her career at Goex, Hitech, and General Dynamics. She also worked at Byars Oil after retirement from the Industrial Park. She enjoyed her grandkids and loved to go gambling with her brothers and sisters. She loved to travel with her husband Jerry. They were always going on quick trips to the boat. She loved when her grandson Jake would have gatherings at her home to cook fish and watch the Razorbacks play. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A special thanks to her neighbor Cathy Reynolds for many years of friendship and showing the true meaning of a neighbor; William's wife Leigh Ann Lemons Hughes for her many years of family and friendship; Jake's wife MaryBeth Crawford Nations for assisting with her care.

She really wanted a very special thanks to her two grandsons, Derek Lemons and Jarod Evans for helping her in the last few years of her illness.

Also, the family extends a special thanks to the staff of Arbor Hospice, and April Everhart APRN of East Camden Urgent Care.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 2:00PM at Locust Bayou Missionary Baptist Church.
