Donzelle Parlor Sr., was born on December 26, 1949, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Mary Vene Jones Wroten and Allison "Buddy Boy" Parlor. He went home to God on January 14, 2024.

Donzelle united with the Good Home Baptist Church at an early age. He was a graduate of the Lafayette High School Class of 1967, Camden, AR. He enlisted in the United States Navy in October of 1969 and was a Vietnam Veteran. After 30 plus years of service, Donzelle retired from International Paper Company as a heavy equipment operator. He later retired from SouthArk Community College where he worked in the Maintenance Department.

Donzelle had an immense love for his family, hunting, and fishing, which he shared with his late wife Delois. He was deeply devoted to his children and his grandchildren.  He enjoyed having his family around, working on random projects around the house, or simply, working on and walking through his garden. Let's not forget, he enjoyed hanging out with his good ole buddies at the Midway Hunting Club.

Our father loved his grandchildren, and they brought him great joy. We give thanks for a father who loved us deeply and showed us in many ways. He instilled many qualities in us that are appreciated to this day. More than that, we give thanks for a father who meant something different to every member of the family. As a family we have memories of different occasions and how he laughed and enjoyed the company of his loved ones, whether it be sitting on the porch drinking coffee catching up, sitting around the deer camp shooting the breeze, or random calls laughing at old memories. As individuals we each have our own special memories shared with him. We will never ever forget our father.

His wife, Delois Parlor, parents, step-father, Lawyer Wroten, and sister, Lenora Parlor, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children, Allison Parlor (Julian), Donzelle Parlor Jr., and Ashley Parlor;  grandchildren, Darius, Makara, Destani, Aaliyah, Ariel, and Zariah;  great grandchild, Harmoni; sisters, Linda Morgan, Loretta Gaskin, Veronica Jenkins, and Montena Davis; brother-in-law, Terry (Van) Sanders; aunt, Ida Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Good Home Baptist Church, 4364 HWY 7 S., Camden, AR 71701, with burial in Jones Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. To sign the online guest register, visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com
