Dennis Wayne Merritt, of Little Rock, AR passed away September 17, 2022. He was born April 19, 1950 in Camden, AR to T.W. "Tommy" Merritt and Anne Louise Leysath Merritt and lived in Camden until moving to Little Rock to work at Kelly Food Brokerage, and Acosta Food Brokerage. He loved hunting and fishing at the Tulip Creek Deer Camp with family and friends and working with the Kairos Prison Ministry of Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, T. W. "Tommy" and Louise Merritt of Camden, AR.

He is survived by his six children, Brian, Brooke (Josiah Cobb), Brandon (Kayla Jones), Blair (Kevin Small), Blake (Zac Armstrong), and Brett (Steven Ray), eleven grandchildren, and the mother of his six children, Kay Lynn Merritt of Roland, AR. He is also survived by his brother, T. David Merritt of Hot Springs, niece, Kim (Brent Hobby), nephew, Thomas (Lesley); and aunt, Virginia (Jerry McNeely) and cousin, Dean McNeely, of Houston, Texas; uncle, Ron Gaddy (Nina) of Germantown, TN.

The family expresses our deep appreciation to the wonderful staff of Baptist Hospital Cancer floor and Baptist Health Hospice of Little Rock.

A graveside memorial service will be held in Camden, Arkansas at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery, with services conducted by The Rev. Kim A. Merritt Hobby. Please bring your own umbrellas and lawn chairs if desired or needed.
