Deborah May Edwards passed away February 21, 2025. Deborah was born May 16, 1958, in Malvern, Arkansas and after spending some of her childhood in Southern California, she spent the majority of her life here in Camden, Arkansas. Deborah is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Gary Edwards, her parents James and Charlotte Holst, her in-laws Sarah and Clarence Ausema, her sister Colleen Holst, and brother Jimmy Holst. Deborah is survived by her son Brandon Edwards, sister Mary Gage and her family, brother-in-law Ronnie Edwards and his family, sisters-in-law Jennifer Douglas, Nova Ward and their families, niece Jackie Lampkin and her family, nephew Doug Baker and his family, niece Krissy Burlison and her family, and nieces Misty Holst, Amy Reynolds, Angel Morris and their families, as well as extended family throughout Arkansas and the United States.

Deborah or "Debbie" as she was known to most people worked at General Dynamics from the late 70s into the early 90s and was a lead volunteer for over 15 years at the Ruby Synder food pantry of Camden; but her greatest "job" was being a wife and mother. Debbie shared a close relationship with her son Brandon, and in the decade following Gary's death the two spent a lot of time restoring and working on the 5 acres Debbie owned and cared for. Debbie was a gardener who planted flowers, trees, and vegetable gardens annually; and in her later years found a love for mowing, blowing leaves, and all things landscape and home improvement. Debbie was an animal lover who throughout her life owned horses, chickens, dogs, cats; and often tried to help pets find homes. Debbie was an avid cook and decorator trying to keep her home full of warmth and reflecting each season including her favorite: Fall. Debbie was a strong believer in Jesus, reading personal devotionals each morning, spent decades as part of Fairview United Methodist Church, and in these last years was a proud and active member of Westside Methodist Church and found great joy in being part of the church's revival. While the last few years Debbie struggled with some health issues and cancer battles, she was able to spend her last few weeks full of joy; in her home, getting to see the land she'd cared for, the pets she loved, eating the food she enjoyed, spending time with family and friends she dearly loved, hearing and saying "I Love You" countless times throughout each day, and was able to pass from this world peacefully and pain free.

Services will be at Westside Methodist Church Tuesday, February 25 at 2:00PM, with a visitation the hour prior. With interment at Lono Cemetery in Lono, AR. Flowers are encouraged but if you'd like to make a memorial in Deborah's name instead, please make them in her honor to Westside Methodist Church.
