Danny Edward Moore, Jr., 77, of Louann, AR. passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 18, 1947, El Dorado, AR. He is predeceased by his father, Danny Edward Moore, Sr., his mother, Rachel Moore Clark Roberson and his brother, Henry L. Clark and his sister, Janice Clark Jenson.
Danny confessed his faith at an early age and was baptized in a creek near Jerusalem Quinn Baptist Church. He spent his formative years following behind his grandfather, John H. Grimble at his Barber Shop in Saint Louis addition. He attended Booker T. Washington High School until being drafted.
Danny proudly served in the United States Army from December 12, 1966 - December 11, 1972, achieving die rank of Staff Sargent (E-6). His military career took him to various parts of the world, including tours in Vietnam in the 1st Squadron, 1st Calvary, 173rd Airborne Brigade where he earned numerous commendations for his bravery and leadership.
Army Expert Marksmanship Badge with M-16 Qualification Bar, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1O/S Bars), Air Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Combat Medical Badge Medal, Combat Action Medal and Good Conduct Medal. His commitment to his country was unwavering, and he was a source of inspiration to all who knew him.
Following his distinguished military service, Danny continued to serve his community near Los Angeles, CA with Moore's Landscaping and Lawncare Service where he worked as an apprentice until he opened Danny's Mobile Auto Detailing Service. Danny was known for his dedication, fairness, and compassion, he left a lasting impact on those he served and worked alongside.
Everyone who have spent time with Danny Moore, loved him. He was an avid hunter and sportsman. As a fisherman, he would clean, fry and eat whatever he caught! As a hunter he loved hunting deer so much that he placed a feeder behind his home and would watch for deer to arrive from his windows. He loved sharing stories and his knowledge of hunting with nearly everyone he met.
If you wanted to know something about cars, Danny could tell you because cars were another one of his passions. Danny loved driving his Mustang and then his Cadillac at speed on an open road! If you rode with him, be prepared for a demonstration. He had a strong passion for his red vehicles. He also loved to dress and impress with his attire which always included a gold chain, gold watch and rings.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Onyse Harrison Moore of Louann, AR, three sons, Alton Stanley (Dena) of Fort Worth, TX, Danny E. (Papa) Moore, HI,(Brittany) and Matthew Emerson Moore (Brittany) both of El Dorado, AR, two daughters, Stephanie L. Moore of Los Angeles, CA, and Tiawana Moore of Los Vegas, NV, three brothers, Jerry L. Clark, Winston-Salem, NC, Donald R. Clark, Los Angeles, CA, and Andre B. Clark, Spanaway, WA, four sisters, Barbara Clark Lawrence, St. Louis, MO, Teresa Clark Atkins (Lee), Spearsville, LA, Maxine Clark Reed (Mark), Navarre, FL, and Rachael Clark Waller (Bobby) Three Creeks, AR, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, uncles, an aunt and a host of special nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives.
His legacy of service, love, and dedication will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 2:00PM to 4:00PM Friday, January 24, 2025 at Proctor Funeral Home.
