Cynthia Margaret Dickson, 61, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on July 12, 1963, she dedicated much of her life to the education and nurturing of young minds, primarily as a kindergarten teacher in Aldine, TX, and Houston School District, before teaching science and social studies to grades 4-6 at Chidester Elementary and later, pre-K and kindergarten at Fairview Elementary.

Cynthia, known affectionately as Cindy, was a beacon of joy and friendliness, always ready to lend a hand, whether it was driving friends to medical appointments or simply enjoying a meal together. Her love for her family was profound, and she cherished time spent with children, both in her professional and personal life.

She attended Camden High School and furthered her education at Southern Arkansas University, which fueled her passion for teaching. Her enthusiasm for life extended beyond the classroom; she was an active member of the Chancel Choir at First United Methodist Church in Camden, where her voice added to the harmony of the congregation.

Cindy's hobbies ranged from lake activities, riding a jet ski, to volunteering at ABC preschool, and serving as the treasurer for a retired teacher's group. She was also a part of a Bunco club and found joy in shopping and helping others in any capacity she could.

Cynthia is survived by her father, John F. Dickson, Sr., and stepmother, Berniece Dickson; her brother, John F. Dickson, Jr. (Angela); nieces Cassandra Ilgenfritz (Drew), Rachel Louviere (Seth), and Kate E. DiMattia (Tommy); aunt, Kate B. Dickson; uncle, Eugene Johnson (Linda); stepsister, Camille Daniels; stepbrother, Greg Coil (Kim); and her beloved great nieces and nephews Logan, Aurora, James, and Linda. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Dickson.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Camden on Friday, October 18, 2024, with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Food Pantry, honoring Cynthia's spirit of generosity and community service.
