Clyde Glenn Hamer, Sr.'s Obituary
Clyde Glenn Hamer, Sr. was born March 27th, 1924 in Lawrence Kansas. Dr. Clyde Hamer, Sr. finished his earthly service Sunday July 19th, 2015 as God lovingly received his beloved Servant into his arms.
"Doc" as he was affectionately known, was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Moya Hamer. He is survived by 3 children, daughter Jane Woods of Edmond Ok, Son Clyde Hamer, Jr. & wife "Dee" of Milwaukee, WI and daughter Sharon Young of Hot Springs AR. nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, sister Joan Trembley and husband William Trembley and numerous nieces and nephews.
His was a life of service to God, family, country and community. He served God as current pastor of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant AR. Director of Ruby Snider Ministry Center in Camden AR, also former Pastor of White City Baptist Church in Camden AR.
He served his county in WWII in the US Coast Guard with an Honorable discharge December 27th, 1945. He served his community through the Board of Directors for the Ouachita County Fire District I and was a former professor at SAU Tech in Environmental Science Department. He will be remembered most as loving husband, father, & grandfather to his family as well as a pillar of faith and love.

Funeral services for "Doc" will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Hampton, AR. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
