Cherie Mamie Sue Hicks Lindsey, age 79, passed away on May 14, 2026, in Baptist Health hospital in Little Rock. She was born in Camden on May 6, 1947 and attended Harmony Grove school. She later graduated from Harmony Grove High School. On May 5, 1967, she married the love of her life James Lindsey.  Cherie loved to read, do puzzles, crochet and sew. She enjoyed shopping for antiques. Her favorite hobby though, was fishing, Cherie loved to go fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Hicks and Lillie Massey; brother, Jesse Hicks; and beloved daughter, Dena Lindsey Harris.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Lindsey; son, Thomas Wade Lindsey and wife Cindy of Houston TX; sister, Maxine Johnson of Alabama; brother, Sammie Hicks and wife, Alice of Camden, AR; sister-in-law; Paula Douthit of Camden, AR;  Four grandchildren; Nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
