Charles E. Williams, 97, of Stephens, AR passed away December 31, 2022 at Silver Oaks Nursing and Rehab in Camden, AR.   He was the son of Irby Hugh Williams and Clara Jane Linkous Williams who preceded him in death.  Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Hugh Lewis Williams and Clarence Williams and his wife Charlene Williams.

Charles has always been a hard worker, having worked in the oil fields.  He retired from Marathon Oil Company.

Charles was a Christian, a member of First Baptist Church of Stephens where he served as a deacon believing strongly in the Bible and what it says.  Charles was also a WWII veteran, having served his country honorably.  His family always looked forward to spring when he planted his garden.  He planted a lot of tomatoes, and they were enjoyed by everyone.  Charles never stayed idle---always busy.  The family will miss him so much.  When something happened to one of them he made sure he was there to help.

He is survived by his sister, Virginia Brackman, a niece Deborah Thompson and her husband Roy Thompson and his nephew George Williams.  The family also wants to thank Pam Jones and Ruby Strickland for their loving care.  He loved both of them.

It was his wish that there would be no funeral.   The family wants to thank Proctor Funeral Home for their service.
