Charles (Butch) Lynn Boswell, 77, of Kirkland, Arkansas, passed away peacefully February 23rd surrounded by his loved ones.

Butch was born in Camden, Arkansas, to the late Joel and Dorothy Boswell. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and his brother, Sam Boswell.

He was married to the love of his life, Anna Kay Boswell, for 57 wonderful years. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Anna Kay Boswell of Kirkland; his brother, John Boswell (Linda); and his sister, Joella Boswell Solomon (Brian). He also leaves behind his children, Heath Boswell (Misty) and Ashley Burton (Brad).

Butch was a proud grandfather to Fallin Kemmer, Bhrett Boswell, Haleigh Gottberg, Brock Gottberg, Maddox Gottberg, Emma Kate Gottberg, and Carson Gottberg, as well as 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

He was baptized at First Baptist Church of Camden at the age of nine and carried his faith throughout his life. Butch graduated from Camden High School and Oilbelt Technical School. He worked as a machinist and welder and was widely respected for his skill and craftsmanship. Many believed he was the best machinist around — and if he couldn't fix it, it couldn't be fixed. He was the owner and operator of Precision Machine & Welding in Kirkland. He built roofing machines for Celotex Corporation across the United States and took great pride in every piece of work he completed. He was also a Mason for more than 50 years.

Butch loved training and riding horses and water skiing and was known as a hardworking man who was always willing to help anyone in need. He took great pride in teaching his kids and grandkids to ski and skied until he was 73. His dedication, integrity, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

The family extends special thanks to Lifetouch Hospice and the staff of Hudson Memorial Nursing Home for their compassionate care and special friends, Frances Nettles and David Waggoner for going above and beyond.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Proctor Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Proctor Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty.

Pallbearers will be Brock Gottberg (grandson), Maddox Gottberg (grandson), Carson Gottberg (grandson), Rusty Patterson, Anthony Briggs, and Sean Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Charles Connor, James Musticchi, Tim Rothrock, and Nate Bates.
