Charles Ronald Cook, 80, passed away on June 23, 2025. He was born on January 4, 1945, to William Henry and Lucy Sims Cook in Camden, AR. Charles was a member of the Crestview Baptist Church and a lifetime Mason. He enjoyed hunting with Shelly, playing golf with Tony, fishing and doing wood working. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Charles was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather. Charles loved spending time with his mother and sister. Charles cherished his mother, and she was his rock. Charles was a 1963 graduate of Fairview High School and attended Henderson State in Arkadelphia where he was involved in the long jump, hurdles and high dive. After retirement he showed a completely different side of himself. He liked working more quietly and often at the farm with John Floyd and Dean doing all sorts of things. He became an expert at working with his talented hands and creative mind. Charles loved watching and feeding the birds and working with his tractor around the house.

Charles was always willing to help everyone, and loved making cedar furniture, which he donated some of the pieces to the old Fairview Gym to be sold for proceeds for renovation. He loved spending time with family and friends especially best buddy, Jimmy Turner. He looked forward to attending the Fairview High School Reunions and loved visiting with all who attended. He began his career with West Gibsons in 1968, working in many towns in Arkansas, as well as Minden, Louisiana and Greenwood, Mississippi. Afterwards he began his career with Wal-Mart Corp. in 1985 until his retirement.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Bill Cook; sister, Barbara Starks; and stepdaughter, Alicia Taylor.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cook; daughter, Shelly Cook; son, Charles "Tony" Cook; granddaughters, Eden Cook and Hillary Bogus; 3 great-grandchildren, stepsons, Jeff Loveless and Chris Wilson and his wife, Cassey; eleven step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; nieces, Melanie (Joe) Turpin, Patty (Jay) Behnke, Robin (Dwayne) Pfeiffer and Barbara (Lucas) Arbutina.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM -10:00 AM Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Proctor Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 10:30 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Fairview Event Center (Old Fairview Gym), in honor of Charles Cook, or an organization of your choice.
