Carol Lea Fincher, a beautiful, funny, and kind soul, departed this earth to be with her Creator on Friday, April 11, 2025. She was 79. Carol leaves behind many friends, friends who are family, and her beloved cat "Petey" to continue her legacy.

Carol was born on March 26, 1946, in Camden, Arkansas, the only child of James Owen Fincher and Laura Evelyn Bridges Fincher. She was the beloved niece of Alma Jean Bridges Fincher and Harold Lee Fincher also of Camden.

After graduating from Camden High School, she attended Centenary College of Louisiana and graduated from Southern State College (B.A.). Carol embarked on a career which included titles of teacher, writer, programmer, technical writer, traveler, business owner, manager - but more importantly, "Friend". Carol wrote in her high school yearbook, "Of all the valuable things in the world, a true friend is the most priceless." She loved her friends, outdoors, sports, music, movies, theater, reading, writing, nature, and animals.

After living and working in Little Rock for many years, she moved back to Camden to care for her parents, Aunt, and Uncle. Upon their deaths, she planned to move back to Little Rock but began a battle with cancer she could not overcome.

Her Christian faith and friends helped her through these later times. Carol wanted to recognize her special extended "family by choice" Robin Porchia, Carolyn Toney, Quincy White, and Timmy Ray Ellis.

Friends will have a "Celebration of Life" to be held in Little Rock at a later date and will also honor her wishes to have a memorial at her family's graves in Camden and Magnolia. Carol will be greatly missed by all who love her.
