Carl E. (Eddie) Pickett, Jr. passed away at his home on October 22, 2024.  Eddie was born on June 1, 1964 in Camden, Arkansas to Ed and Linda Pickett. Eddie graduated from Elliott Baptist Christian School and was a lifetime member of Elliott Baptist Church. He went to work at Aerojet when he was 17 years old and worked there for 41 years, until he retired due to his health. Eddie was Justice of the Peace for District 3, an Elliott Volunteer Fire Department Fireman and Board Member, and an Elliott Hunting Club Board member. One of his favorite activities was riding side-by-sides with his friends, who he considered family.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Carl E. (Ed) Pickett, Sr.; and his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. C. A. Pickett and Mr. & Mrs. Ted Barkhimer.

He is survived by his son, Jacob A. Pickett; his mother, Linda Barkhimer Pickett King; brothers, Mike Pickett (Lisa) and Scott (Jaime) Pickett; stepsisters, Kelly (Kyle) Adams and Krista (Bryant) Elmore; nieces, Madison Pickett, Emily Pickett, Addison Hill, and Kaitlynne Elmore; nephews, Braxton Pickett, Cooper Hill, Hunter Adams, Dawson Adams and Carson Adams; aunt, Rosemary Barkhimer (Charlie) Frame; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Elliott Baptist Church with services following at 2:00 p.m. and interment at Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Elliott Baptist Church or to the charity of your choice.
