Burkett Glenn Millsaps, 81, passed away on June 8, 2025. He was born on February 13, 1944, to James Foster and Rebecca Saterfield Millsaps in Tellico Plains, TN. Burkett was a member of the Chidester Community Church. He liked to fish and hunt. He loved watching movies with his grandchildren. His greatest joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Holly Hudson; three brothers; and three sisters. Burkett is survived by two daughters, Annette Roomsburg and husband, Jim of El Dorado, AR and Lainey Howard and husband, Scott of Benton, AR; three grandchildren, Brittney Beverly and husband, Bryce, Matthew Roomsburg, and Holly Freeburg and husband, Josh; two great-grandchildren, Bianca Beverly and Lydia Beverly; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to his caregivers, Karen and Mike Bouwell, Arkansas Hospice, South Arkansas Home Health, South Arkansas Regional Hospital, Dr. George Smith, Dr. Matthew Calloway, and Dr. Thomas Kennedy.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00AM at Red Hill Cemetery in Chidester, AR. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
