Brenda Louise Cook Thompson

Brenda Louise Cook Thompson, aged 64, of Camden, passed away on August 20, 2026, at her home. Brenda worked at Ouachita County Medical Center and was previously employed for many years at Dan Cook’s Office Supply. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She had a love for animals and rescued many over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Janet Cook, and her brother, Bill Cook. Brenda is survived by her husband of 34 years, Bruce Thompson of Camden; her brother, Danny Cook and his wife, Sunni, of Camden; her sister, Pat Barnes and her husband, Kenny, of Forney, TX; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Jan Thompson of Little Rock; and her sister-in-law, Paula Greenwood and her husband, Ben, of Alexander.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Proctor Chapel. Visitation will take place from 1-2 PM before the service. Due to the extreme heat, there will not be a graveside service.
